Sort Writing Thoughts
Writing is quite challenging and is certainly not every one’s cup of tea. At times even good writers are confronted with formidable challenges. Thus sometimes despite being a good writer we are unable to churn out useful content. The crux of engaging textual content is coherent thoughts.
But developing this skill, which is imperative for writing, is not as simple as it looks. Often we are confronted with situations when our thoughts don’t flow very easily. Overcoming such constriction of thoughts is not easy. But, with sufficient practise we can triumph over this shortcoming.
Written content is the outcome of the process of thinking. It is possible to get lost in the tirade of thoughts and become distracted. Hence, checking the written product and line of thinking at periodic intervals is essential. Gauging one’s writing progress and making changes if needed in method of working is important.
Before you begin writing have a rough outline about what you want to pen down in your mind. Don’t just put in writing all thoughts that come to you. Check the alignment of what you have written with the initial structure you outlined. First sort out in your mind what you are trying to say. Don’t just wish that what you are writing will turn out to be coherent, make it!
Only after you have framed an initial outline in your mind should you begin writing. Remember to begin your write-up with a punch line. Develop all arguments and narrate content gradually to keep readers hooked. Summarize the key message and make the conclusion impactful. While, writing the expression should flow with comfort and ease. Make sure you are not spending too much time chasing after perfect sentences.
We all want our work process to be smooth, but this doesn’t always happen. Quite often we get tensed due to fears of not being as effective. Tension builds an internal wall that impedes the flow of thought. But avoid getting strained during such trying times. You can effectively tackle this hitch by slowing down whenever your head is muddled.
For example, take a break to regain energy and you will be able to start with a fresh perspective. Some techniques to regain energy are; deep breathing or other exercises that increase mental concentration. The important thing is to find a way to recharge; you could try snacking, getting a drink, watching television, listening to music etc. In addition, try to keep your mind relaxed while you are writing.
