Among the gamut of pages on a website, the landing page is the one that gets the most marketing mileage. That is why understanding the dichotomy of landing pages is a must do for every net marketer who is doing online promotions.

The page on which a customer is directed when he/she clicks an inbound link or a link from an outside source is called the landing page. From a landing page a visitor is given a pathway to enter the product catalog pages. So, before making a purchase the customer first visits a landing page and from there he/she is allured to those pages of the website where purchases can be made.

From a landing page a first chance is created for motivating users.

Landing page is the location where leads get converted. A net marketer can realize a higher ROI only when his / her website’s landing page is optimized.
